Varming Consulting Engineers where commissioned to design the mechanical and electrical services installations for this inner city regeneration project consisting of the demolition of the existing four storey residential buildings, Blocks E & F and the construction of 56 no. residential units over two new blocks, a basement level car park and ancillary community centre and facilities

Solar photovoltaic system incorporating 116 no. polycrystalline panels in 3 no. ballast mounted arrays.
Naturally ventilated single level basement carpark.
High efficiency gas fired condensing boilers.
Fast recovery hot water calorifiers.
Central cold water storage – omission of local cold water storage and booster pumps in each apartment.
Robust equipment selection and design of mechanical and electrical services to reduce future maintenance requirements and to mitigate against anti-social behaviour.
