Confucius Centre at University College Dublin Shortlisted for ACEI Awards

Varming Consulting Engineers are delighted to announce that our practice has been shortlisted for the 2021 ACEI Design Excellence Awards in the “Environmental Sustainability – Built Environment” category for the Confucius Centre at University College Dublin.

The new Confucius Institute, is located on the University College Dublin Belfield Campus. The building provides a mixed use educational and cultural space which is set over three floors that step in at each level to create a ziggurat style structure. The setting of the building is adjacent to extensive landscaped areas and in close proximity to the Campus Lake. Internally all of the building spaces are organised around a three storey atrium space.
