EED – New Community Nursing Unit at St. Colman’s Hospital, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow

Varming Consulting Engineers were recently appointed by Wejchert Architects as Energy Efficient Design (EED) Expert, in accordance with IS399:2014, associated with the New Community Nursing Unit at St. Colman’s Hospital, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow.

The project consists of the construction of a Residential Care Centre consisting of 2 x 25 Bed Households and 1×10 Bed Dementia Specific Household.

The EED role is to ensure the project exceeds statutory requirements in all aspects of sustainability and achieves the highest levels of environmental effectiveness possible within project constraints and result in the most advantageous Life Cycle Cost outcomes.
