Varming Consulting Engineers were commissioned to design the mechanical and electrical services of this 3 storey primary care centre which includes GP surgery, primary care teams and ground floor retail units. Also included a new community all-weather sports pitch and an extension to Saint Monica’s Youth Club, located on the same site.
The building was constructed in precast concrete structure, requiring all M&E services to be coordinated in design to ensure all opes, containment, wall chases etc. were in place prior to delivery to site.
Project delivery was completed on an accelerated time-line as part of the HSE Covid-19 response.
Design and construction monitoring of the mechanical and electrical services installations included heating, ventilation, air conditioning, hot & cold water, ventilation transportation, electrical power, lighting, communications, security services and fire & life safety services.
