Declan Alcock Discusses Importance of Diverse Knowledge Base for Sustainability
Declan Alcock, Director at Varming Consulting Engineers participated in a panel discussion at an event in Clyde Road where Engineers Ireland announced they had become the first organisation outside of the UK to be licensed by the Society for the Environment (SocEnv) to award the Chartered Environmentalist title.
During the discussion Declan noted “The CEnv a really unique role requiring a diverse knowledge base that ties together the various strands of sustainability be they scientific, social, economic, cultural or technical. The Chartered Environmentalist Professional Title will be influential not just in the context of project delivery and meeting the climate ambitions of the engineering and construction sectors, but of great benefit members of Engineers Ireland who wish to enhance their credentials and broaden their area of expertise”
