We are making the world sustainable

Sustainability

Ensuring sustainability and climate action are at the forefront of project delivery is central to what we do as a company. Our dedicated Sustainable Design team has extensive experience nationally, regionally and internationally in Green Building and delivering projects that reduce energy demand, and operational carbon emissions without compromising performance.

Our sustainability team provide expert advice and design services in the following areas;

Energy Efficient Design

The EED expert is a central role in the Energy Efficient Design (EED) Management Standard (IS399:2021) which provides a framework to ensure that energy management is addressed at the earliest stage to achieve the highest levels of environmental effectiveness possible and the most advantageous Lift Cycle Cost outcomes.

Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)

Certified by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) our Certified Energy Auditor evaluates and analyses how energy is being used in a facility, identifies energy opportunities, and makes recommendations where consumption can be reduced or optimized.

Environmental Certification

BREEAM is an internationally recognised standards for buildings which adhere to best practice sustainability principles. Our sustainability team offer the following roles for both new construction and major renovations across a wide range of building types.

  • BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP)
  • BREEAM International Assessments
  • BREEAM UK Assessments
  • BREEAM International and UK in-use assessments

Home Performance Index (HPI)

The Home Performance Index (HPI) is Ireland’s first national voluntary certification system for quality and sustainable residential development providing assurance that homes have been designed and constructed with care to ensure low running costs, enhance occupant wellbeing and minimise environmental impact.

Building Performance Simulation

Building physics is an essential part of the design of low energy sustainable buildings. Using advanced modelling techniques enables us to study the effects of conceptual decisions on occupant comfort, energy consumption and carbon emissions from the earliest design stage and accurately quantify the benefits of passive, active and renewable design options.
