Project Description

Varming Consulting Engineers were commissioned to design and monitor construction of the mechanical and electrical services installations for this rapid build extension comprising of 14 single en-suite bedrooms and ancillary accommodation over two floors. Installed systems included heating, ventilation, air conditioning, pneumatic tube transmission, specific extract, hot & cold water, medical gases distribution, electrical power, lighting, communication and security services, fire and life safety services.

Features

The project was delivered under an accelerated 14 week programme as an emergency response to the Covid 19 Pandemic.
LPHW delivered via high temperature multifunctional Heat Pumps and delivered to low surface temperature radiators.
A3 Building Energy Rating (BER).
Legionella protection via a Copper-Silver ionization water treatment system and thermostatically controlled balancing of the hot water system.
SEAI Triple E registered lighting installed and controlled via a DALI system.
Self-testing emergency lighting system throughout the development.
