Varming Consulting Engineers were commissioned to design the mechanical and electrical services installations for this new Acute Inpatient ward block consisting of 96 bedrooms and en-suites constructed on top of a live Renal and ED department at University Hospital Limerick.
The Mechanical Services included Chilled Water Systems, Extensive Ventilation Systems, Water Services, Medical Gases, BMS Controls, Pneumatic Transfer System.
Fully mechanically ventilated bedrooms.
8 number isolation rooms in accordance with HTM guidelines.
The Electrical Services included LV Infrastructure and Switchgear, ICT Network, PBX System, Security Systems (CCTV/Access Control), TV/Radio System, Fire Alarm System, Staff Paging, Medical Trunking, Nurse Call & BMS Systems.
2No. passenger lift (33 person/2,500kg), with 1no. firefighting lift installed complete with dedicated back up power generator.
